Projects Under Construction & Recently Completed
Despite the extreme cold and snow we have experienced so far this winter, the steel erection crew has made good progress on the building. The roof system will be completed this week and if the weather holds, we should have the structure enclosed within the next couple weeks. Once this happens, we will fire up the temp heat so we can proceed with the underground, slab and office framing.
The anticipated completion is projected to be in late March.
The crews continue to work through the lower level foundation systems and are pouring walls in preparation of Precast install at the end of the month. We continue to waterproof and install drainage mat while prepping for backfill on site.

The units are wrapping up and we are starting the transition into pre-punch list work along with cleaning onsite. Final hooks ups of all MEP equipment along with appliances are being finished. Crews are working hard on the common area final touches.

Started out the Thanksgiving Holiday with an office Thanksgiving Potluck on Wednesday November 26th. Great food, conversations and sharing memories of the past. Following the delicious Thanksgiving meal, everyone took part in decorating the office for the Christmas Season.
Lyon Contracting is excited to work on the Cloud on 5th remodel project that will be converting an existing 12,500 square foot retail space into 16 new apartment units. The teams on site have wrapped up the bulk of demolition, and we are now polishing the existing concrete floors before starting framing next week. We look forward to delivering these new units to the St. Cloud State University campus area.
The garage precast has been installed and grouted in place. Prepping soils and getting the backfill all completed. Installing undergrounds and working on getting the rock installed and pouring slabs.
Concrete crews are working on installing the bar on precast for the topping slab.
Framers are wrapping up the framing and roof on the 1st floor SOG units and will be jumping onto the 2nd floor slab as soon as it is poured out. We are getting lumber onsite daily and floor trusses are on the way to keep materials in front of the framing crews.
Lots of good progress happening with this warm weather yet let’s hope it sticks around a couple more weeks!
