Projects Under Construction & Recently Completed
Our team of subcontractors on site are wrapping up their scopes of work and are all pushing to the finish line. Appliances have been delivered, fixtures are being set throughout the project, and we are preparing for final inspections.
We look forward to seeing this project finished and welcome new residents to call Cloud on 5th their home. This will be a wonderful new addition to the already existing apartment complex in downtown St. Cloud.
Lyon Contracting, Inc. continues to provide yearly First Aid Safety training for their employees and values the importance of safety on all jobsites.
All Site Superintendents and Project Managers attended this group training.
The coarse provided First Aid certification and CPR.

The main roof has been shingled, and the building is dried in! We have begun the process of rough in and framing inspections for 5th floor. MEP crews are in process of wrapping up the wiring, water install, tubs, attic sprinkler system and mechanical hook ups on 5th floor while we have insulation scheduled to start happening soon with sheet rockers to arrive shortly after. Framers continue to work in 4th - 1st floor wrapping up the framing punch work. We will be shifting our focus back onto the exterior as the weather continues to warm up.
The crews on site continue to work on the wood framing for this project, as we are now completing the 2nd floor system and starting the third.
Our MEP trades spent the last couple weeks getting the underground work completed in the basement and our concrete crews are on site, pouring out the basement slab.
We will begin rough in's shortly inside the building and look forward to welcoming the next wave of subcontractors to Orchard Place Apartments project. .

The building exterior is complete! We are waiting on spring to allow the remaining grading and utility work to be completed so we can pour the remaining exterior concrete.
The interior work finish work is in full swing. We have the wall liner completed and the warehouse M&E work has started. Crews will be hanging lights, fans and heaters in the next weeks to finish this up.
The offices are framed, M&E rough-ins are complete and sheetrock is being delivered. We anticipate the interior work to be being 100% by the end of May. To match that date, exterior finish will require a little cooperation from Mother Nature.

Thursday January 22nd, 2026 Lyon Contracting, Inc once again attended the Excellence in Construction Awards!
It was great to connect with so many ABC members from throughout the chapter and celebrate the outstanding projects we’ve built.
Started out the Thanksgiving Holiday with an office Thanksgiving Potluck on Wednesday November 26th. Great food, conversations and sharing memories of the past. Following the delicious Thanksgiving meal, everyone took part in decorating the office for the Christmas Season.
