A groundbreaking event was held last week for Grand35 Apartments, which will be completed in May 2024. This four-story, 130-unit, multi-family, age 55+ apartment building is located off Grand Avenue South in Burnsville, MN.
OSHA National Safety Stand-Down Fall Prevention in Construction
Safety is our top priority at Lyon Contracting, Inc., and what better way to continue our safety education then during National Safety in Construction Week! All the Project Managers and Job Superintendents from Lyon, and several other contractors attended OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls in construction, at our Grand35 Apartment site in Burnsville, MN. We had a full 8-hour day of Safety Training with all of our Superintendents and Project Managers. We highly recommend scheduling your training with ABC and OECS, they were very knowledgeable and our team felt like they covered each topic well while allowing everyone to ask questions as needed.
Completed - J-Berd Vehicle Storage Facility, Sauk Rapids, MN
The new J-Berd Storage Facility is an 80’ X 120’ X 20’ High, Pre-engineered, single slope, steel building. It has six (6) open truck bays, one (1) truck wash bay, is fully fire suppressed, and has HVAC.
Completed - Hayden Grove of St. Anthony, St. Anthony, MN
Hayden Grove is a new, (4) four story, 135-unit, wood framed, over (1) one story precast Senior Living facility, with underground and surface parking. The convenient location of Hayden Grove Senior Living makes it easy for family and friends. The units are easy to live in and are full of features including, tons of natural light, independent temp controls, quartz countertops, soft-close cabinets stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer and dryer, and balconies. Hayden Grove is equipped with a controlled entry system, underground parking, exercise room, massage and physical therapy, wellness center, community rooms, coffee and snacks bistro, a craft room, a beauty salon, library, and more!
ABC Excellence in Construction Awards 2022
Lyon Contracting, Inc. proudly received Excellence in Construction Awards for all three of our 2022 projects that were submitted. An Eagle Award for the West Bank in Sartell, MN under Commercial Construction over $5 Million, an Eagle Award for Novo Apartments in Richfield, MN under Residential Multi-Family over $5 Million, and a Pyramid Award for The Overlook at Crystal Lake in Burnsville, MN also under Residential Multi-Family over $5 Million.

Communal amenities include but are not limited to a community room, fitness center, a Chapel, salon, and a library. When choosing the right apartment keep in mind that there are 1 or 2 bedroom with a full kitchen.

Fremont Village is a new, (3) three story, slab on grade, 78,129 GSF, wood framed structure, Senior Living facility that includes a tuck under garage. ABC Free Enterprise Alliance Sporting Clays Shoot
Some of Lyon Contracting’s Employees attended the ABC Free Enterprise Alliance sporting clays shoot yesterday to support the Free Enterprise Alliance and MN/ND ABC. FEA is ABC’s issue advocacy fund that helps promote lawmakers and candidates who support our merit shop philosophy. FEA has helped out in both Minnesota and North Dakota congressional and other statewide races for years. There were 20 teams of shooters, and they had the chance to hear from ABC -endorsed Lt. Governor candidate, Matt Birk, and Senator Eric Pratt! They had a great time competing against other local construction professionals!
